Our products, made in France and unique on the market, are the result of 4 years of Research & Innovation and boast 3 patents. These developments have been possible thanks to the innovative capabilities of a team passionate about what they do, concerned for the environment and attentive to our customers’ needs.

In general, in business, what’s good for the planet is expensive and what’s cheap is rarely environmentally friendly. Given today’s ecological emergency, we felt it was essential to design kegs which are both eco-friendly and economical.

A KEG REQUIRING FEW RAW MATERIALS

The main feature of our Flexikegs is their frugality. Reusable up to 100 times, they avoid the material wastage associated with single-use kegs or bottles. They also use very few raw materials, compared to traditional reusable containers. What does that mean in concrete terms? For equivalent contents:

Production:
- An empty metal keg weighs around 10 kg, a Flexikeg weighs 2 kg.
- 45 empty glass bottles weigh 18 kg, a Flexikeg weighs 2 kg.
Usage:
- A disposable 30-litre keg generates with each use more than 1.5 kg of waste made up of a mix of different materials which are hard to recycle.
- A 30-litre Flexikeg generates just 150 grams of recycled polyethylene.

Using our flexible and reusable kegs thereby considerably reduces your consumption of raw materials while preserving the quality of your drinks. In the current context, any solution which uses fewer raw materials helps to make supplies more reliable and minimise your dependency.

A « SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE » KEG

We are fully committed to a socially responsible approach: some assembly is already outsourced to a disability-inclusive company. At the same time, we’re studying the possibility of outsourcing the reconditioning of the kegs, as part of the circular economy, through a short supply chain, to associations or companies giving opportunities to people with disabilities or looking to re-enter the workplace.

The human element, along with innovation and respect, is one of Flexikeg’s 3 core values!

A KEG WITH A LOW CARBON FOOTPRINT, OPTIMISING TRANSPORTATION

A container still needs to be transported to its point of filling (empty), then from there to the customer (full). The carbon footprint resulting from transportation (and consequently its cost) depends on the product’s mass and volume. Empty or full, the Flexikeg has an excellent transportation footprint.

Empty keg:
Our kegs fold up and travel flat. They are therefore light and take up little space. For equivalent contents:
- An empty Flexikeg takes up less space than any other keg.
- A refill bag takes up 60 even less space.
Full keg:
- A full Flexikeg is lighter than its steel equivalent or glass bottle.
- Very robust, it can be tightly packed onto a pallet without any risk of it being crushed or broken.

A RECYCLABLE KEG

After 100 uses, a Flexikeg is recycled in an appropriate facility. The metal parts are melted down ready to be used again. With each use, the liquid bag is changed and is recyclable (the polyethylene meets CITEO criteria for its purity).

Every 10 uses, the gas bag is recycled following the same principle. Thereby, depending on your consumption, you can:

use the yellow bin
stockpile them before selling them to a recycling specialist
return them to us so we can organise their recycling.

At Flexikeg, we’re not into greenwashing, our kegs’ recyclability is real.

AN INEXPENSIVE KEG

Whether you’re a producer (brewer, winegrower, cider or fruit juice producer) or distributor (wine merchant, bar, restaurant), you all have in common the need to control your costs. Whether your main motivation is being able to guarantee your product’s quality, integrating a green approach into your activity, or optimising your business, you can also be assured that the Flexikeg is economical. Depending on your sector of activity, the parameters contributing to your costs are often very different:

Brewers: keg raw material and/or washer and/or specific equipment and/or available space and/or return logistics and/or minimum order
Winegrowers: bottle raw material and/or label-cork and/or filling costs and/or transport
Cider or fruit juice producers: container raw material and/or fixed costs for a seasonal activity and/or transport
